                                                                SOLAR ENERGY  Advantages: #1 Warms buildings up                        #2 Renewable            Disadvantage:#1 when the sun goes down solar stops working Solar energy can be used to warm buildings directly,can also be converted into electricity by solar cells. Definition:The energy received by earth from the sun in the form of radiation.                     

Petroleum  Petroleum is a liquid mixture of  complex hydrocarbon compounds formed. When marine animals and plants decompose petroleum is formed. The advantages of petroleum is that it produces a lot more energy than renewable resources. It also provides gasoline which can power are cars and it can give us fuel it also provides plastics, bubble gum, and ink. The disadvantages of petroleum it makes a lot of pollution like oil spills which can severly harm the ocean ecosystem. It can also can cause smog which can cause respiratory problems. Another disadvantage is when you burn petroleum it releases carbon doxide which is a greenhouse gas and it can lead to gloal warming.

                        HYDROELECTRIC Hydroelectric Energy is electrical energy produced by moving water.It creates electricity through  moving turbines in different  bodies of water. Not just creating electrical energy  , but hydroelectric energy does so much more and has very many advantages . First of all, Its renewable so we will always be able to get more. Another, its water powered, so it's a clean fuel source. Either no or little pollution to our environment. Though hydroelectric energy helps our community in so many ways through turbines creating electricity, they have many disadvantages . For example, all of the equipment they use in the process of creating electricity it's all very expensive. Another, they block the pathway for fish's movement through lakes, rivers, streams, and many of bodies of water.

Natural gas         Advantages:  You can cook with natural gas. Natural gas is the cleanest fossil fuel. Is a high efficient  form of energy. It has less pollution then oil and coal.  It is chemically complex. disadvantages: It is very flammable and toxic it is extremely dangerous. It can give you extreme burns and cuts.

          Wind Energy Advantages: Uses air movement  to drive an electric generator. Disadvantages: It can only be placed where there are areas that have large amounts of wind.

Hydroelectric How does it work? Hydroelectric power works by the movement of water.That then is transfered through a Control Gate that then moves the water through a Turbine that takes it to a Generator.Then into a Transformer at the Power House the finally out to the Power Lines to our homes.                           What is it used for?                         Hydroelectric power is used mainly used for generating                electricity to have power to watch TV,or playing on our phones.We need this electricity so we can also warm your food and stay warm with heaters or cool with the ac. We do in a way need electricity to live by warming up food and warmth in the cold. ~Advantages~ Hydroelectric power has some advantages by being able to be driven by water.
