How does it work?

Hydroelectric power works by the movement of water.That then is transfered through a Control Gate that then moves the water through a Turbine that takes it to a Generator.Then into a Transformer at the Power House the finally out to the Power Lines to our homes.

                          What is it used for?

                        Hydroelectric power is used mainly used for generating 

              electricity to have power to watch TV,or playing on our phones.We need this electricity so we can also warm your food and stay warm with heaters or cool with the ac. We do in a way need electricity to live by warming up food and warmth in the cold.

~Advantages~

Hydroelectric power has some advantages by being able to be driven by water.

Also this renewable source can actually never run out for as long as we live and that is along time.

Finally this source is really safe and does not pollute the area or air.

<Disadvantages>

Hydroelectric power does have some disadvantages though like it does cost a lot of money to build the power house and the dam.

Another reason why is because it does affect the ecosystem by harming the fish in that live near or close to the dam by destroying homes and messing up area.

Lastly the area has to have a reasonable amount of water and so it does not overflow the dam so that is could destroy the Power House.
